Manuel’s Bread Cafe is a fabulous French bistro located in Hammond’s Ferry. Just across Crystal Lake Drive from Manuel’s is DiVino Ristorante Italiano. The Petruzzis, who own the place, moved to North Augusta from Florence, Italy in 2016. The menu, which is in Italian and English, features items like Trancio di Slmone alla DiVino con Puree di Broccoli (a salmon and mushroom entree). The wine menu features Italian whites and reds and Californian whites and reds.
 
The Larder is up the street from Manuel’s and DiVino’s. Make reservations at the Larder and you’re in for a treat. It’s a chef-owned restaurant, and much of the menu is made from locally sourced ingredients. The appetizer menu features tasteful tuna nachos and spicy feta dip. Burgers and sandwiches figure prominently in the menu here. If you’re dining with a large party, grab dinner at Antonio’s Italian Eatery. You and your group can order entrees and share appetizers, pizza, and especially party trays.
 
Shopping in North Augusta mixes modern retail shopping centers and quaint locally curated boutiques. The boutiques and gift shops are the gems of the local shopping experience, offering visitors unique gift items, beautiful accessories, and designer clothing. The Shoppe Thirty One Thirty features gifts, decor items, accessories, handbags, and women’s clothing. Organically You is a specialty food store specializing in organic food items and produce. Kit & Caboodles sells lawn and garden ornaments, flags, candles, and collegiate items. High Cotton is another fantastic shop for gifts, accessories, and unique items.
 

Things to Do

SRP Park is the center of activity in downtown North Augusta. The park is home to the minor league Augusta Green Jackets. It’s a great place to spend a summer evening enjoying a ballgame with the family. The Living History Park is a fantastic venue for concerts, recreational activities, historical demonstrations, and community events. Brick Pond Park is located near the Savannah River and offers miles of trails for quiet walks, nature hikes, and relaxation.
 
The Arts and Heritage Center of North Augusta is a beautiful facility that provides art education, promotional events, and exhibits for the community. The River Golf Club sits on the shores of the Savannah River, providing golfers with beautiful views and a challenging course. The club also offers practice facilities, lessons, and a junior golf club.
 
North Augusta is also home to fantastic annual events like the Rockin’ & Raftin’ Festival and the Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee. These festivals feature food, live music, games, competitions, and local arts and crafts vendors.
