The dinner menu ranges in heft from garden and pantry vegetables to game and pasture like bison, hen, elk, and venison. Give at least three days’ notice if you want the chef’s table experience. If timing works in your favor, you might check out the restaurant’s events calendar, which includes activities like weekly wine tastings.

 

There are many shopping centers, small and large, and big-box stores in Evans. The town is also home to many exciting and unique shops and boutiques. Some local favorites are Greenbrier Nursery & Gifts, Mish Mash Interiors & Gifts, Rustic Vibes, and The Ivy Boutique & Gifts.

 

One of the things that makes Evans such a great place to live is that there are so many things to do. Spend the day at one of Evans' fabulous parks. Riverside Park is located on a tributary of the Savannah River and has a boat ramp, fishing pier, and a picnic shelter. At Riverside Dog Park, your dog can run and play with you or some new canine buddies. A fantastic recreation complex at Riverside park also provides tennis courts, beach volleyball, ball fields, and a playground.

 

Blanchard Woods Park has a BMX course, a cross-country running course, a walking and jogging trail, picnic areas, a skate park, and a premier soccer field. The centerpiece of the community is the Evans Towne Center Park, where residents gather for live concerts, festivals, and special events. The park has a playground, a dog park, a gazebo, and pavilions. The Towne Center Park is also the site of the Evans on Ice skating rink during the winter.

 

The Savannah River plays a key role in the recreational life of Evans' residents. The river is a popular spot for fishing, boating, and paddleboarding. Several businesses in the area provide rentals and coordinate special tours and float trips. Outdoor Augusta Riverside does the very popular Full Moon Kayak Tours, and Savannah Rapids Kayak Rental hosts the Friday Evening Sunset Paddles.
